AI is killing the web. For the better.

The old Internet is dying: the one built on clickbait, SEO tricks, and endless content farms.

Let’s be honest: nobody wants to read an article written by AI. But every day, millions of people do without realizing it.

Search any question on Google and you will find an ocean of auto-generated words. Articles that sound fluent, but say nothing. Sites with random names, stuffed with recycled text and fake expertise.

It’s a ghost web: written by machines, full of words, empty of attention.

And that’s precisely why the next era of the Internet won’t belong to Google as we know it. It will belong to the AI that searches smarter AND the humans it can trust.

The death of dumb SEO

For two decades, visibility online meant outsmarting an algorithm. Stuff the right keywords, buy some backlinks, publish a thousand “10 tips for…” posts and you’d win.

This game is over.

AI can now write a million “SEO articles” in an hour. So the value of that content just dropped to zero.

The web is collapsing under its own weight and from the ruins, a new logic is emerging: Trust beats reach. Depth beats volume. Authenticity beats automation.

The new currency: credibility

In this new web, it’s not about what you say. It’s about who believes you.

Being visible won’t come from gaming Google’s crawler: it will come from being cited by the agents people now trust: AI bots, social feeds, curated platforms.

These systems won’t reward noise. They will reward coherence, consistency, and proof.

The question won’t be:

“How do I rank?”

It will be:

“How do I earn trust, from both the AI and the human on the other side?”

Back to the roots

Strangely, AI is pushing the web back to what it was supposed to be: a network of humans sharing real knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

The future of the web won’t be about flooding it with words. It will be about creating meaning again, with data, creativity, and soul.

The dumb industrial web is dying.

Let it die.

What comes next will be harder to game but easier to love. Smarter, smaller, and infinitely more human.
